Hey you guys...Senator Craig isn't gay...he isn't...really...

GAH! I am so tired...sooooooooooooo tired of the Republican moral right. I am. So Senator Craig got busted like every other moral high horse piece of shit with his hands in the cookie jar. His defense? He only plead guilty to disorderly conduct in MINNEAPOLIS because some newspaper in Idaho was trying to dig up dirt on him. Ummm, yeah. No. Seriously? Who is buying into this shit? Senator Craig, maybe you and Michael Vick need to have a little chat about what it means to make a plea deal. At least Vick took one of the most famous responses of all - he's found Jesus. Yes, kids...this whole sociopathic trip down dog-fighting lane has landed our boy Vick in the hands of JC himself. Well I know I feel better now. How 'bout you?

The only other option for Vick was to go into rehab...either way he's done in the NFL.

But let's come back to Craig. The Today Show was asking the question "Are Republicans held to a higher standard than Democrats?" I don't know? What do you guys think? I think the GOP LOVES to stand on their moral high ground...they've made "family values" and "anti-gay marriage" their own, slamming the Dems over and over again basically labeling them as drunk (sorry Ted) over-sexed (thanks, Bill) liberals who would just as soon screw a goat in the square as their spouses in the bedroom. The Dems have had their share of controversy (hello entire Kennedy family), no one is saying their perfect.

The difference? They're not on the news shows/pundit shows every damn day preaching against the very actions in which they are participating!!! THEY are not SAYING they're perfect day after day like these smug asshats. The GOP is becoming the butt of the joke (pun intended) as much as Catholic priests. Wild Bill didn't pass a law against cheating on your wife before pushing Monica under the desk. JFK wasn't trying to cram family values down everyone's throat while boffing Norma Jean. But these people who are trying to define our moral compass, here they are, side by side with George Michael in the men's room...or should I say front to back? Hmmmm.

No, they're not held to a higher standard. But the hypocrisy is getting old, and the party is suffering. Maybe he'll end up in rehab...

Who's Senator Craig?

The problem rests with the media. Not all Republicans are singing this song but that doesn't get reported. I think you'll agree that most of the media is swayed by the left. I will say this, I'm tired of the Dems' attitude that moral rules are bad. I guess that's why some refer to me as a conservative. I think it's important.

Secondly, unfortunately I disagree about Vick. Some team will pay him once he's out of jail. Probably won't be a quarterback again but he's too good of an athlete and somebody will roll the dice. Look at Randy Moss and Ray Lewis...

He's an ultra-conservative Senator from Idaho. He's been preaching and preaching against homosexuality and gay marriage.

Therein lies the biggest faux pas of all, Jimmer. The Dems aren't against morals! I'm a Dem, do you think I'm against morals? Do you think Hillary is? Pelosi? Obama? Really? That's like saying that being Pro-Choice means you're Pro-Abortion. Which is the game the moral right plays. They are not the same thing. I think morals are important, too. But I'm not a conservative. I'm not willing to say that everyone has to live by my moral standard, nor am I willing to judge those who don't. I'm not willing to say that my moral standard is THE moral standard.

And as for Vick, you might be right. We won't know anything for 3 years. But after 3 years of being banned, will he still have game?

Moss isn't a good comparison, to me anyway. He was busted with some pot (and I remember something about him knocking over a crossing guard?). That's hardly comparison with funding and running a dog-fighting ring, and probably killing some of those animals himself, no matter what the plea says.

And Ray Lewis? Seriously? While the charges were certainly worse, they never proved anything, there weren't even witnesses that could lend a shred of evidence. Yeah, he took a deal - but to obstruction? He was basically saying "I wasn't helpful" which is not the same thing as what Vick is doing. If Lewis had made a deal that said "I didn't kill anyone, but I bought the knives and told the guys to do it", it's completely different. He did pay off the families...so maybe it is more the same.

Look at Tank Johnson...will he be picked up by someone else? And his crime wasn't anywhere near the magnitude of this.

Boy! You are in an argumentative mood today! Must want to have a sit-down and debate.
Damn! I've spent the whole prep time reading and writing your blog and I haven't gotten a thing done - and open house is tonight, too!

Joy - get something done!!

HA - you've been doing this so long, you should be able to handle parent night no problem, yes? How are the little darlings this year?

Question, Jimmer do you think it's a bigger deal because Vick is quarterback? Lewis is a linebacker and Moss is a receiver? running back? tight end? I forget. I suppose I could look it up.

ANYWAY. The fact that the quarterback is the "general" of the team typically...do you think that makes a difference?

No, idiocy is idiocy and you can add Lance Briggs name to that list. Who calls a tow truck and then calls the cops to report a car stolen. Seriously...

Moss is a WR.

Vick will be back in the pros and it'll be either 2008 or 2009 at the latest. Will he be in shape? What else will he have to do in prison other than working out?

Mom, this is your last year and I think you should have fun with it. You should tell a parent something you've always wanted to say. Like, "tell your kid to stop picking his nose" or something. What do you have to lose?

Maybe you should fart really loudly during your talk to the parents? Blame it on the dog or something...

Don't even get me STARTED on Lance Briggs!! WHO does he think he's kidding? "I got scared" - ummm, yeah, because you were a)drunk b)high c)transporting underage girls d)carrying drugs and/or paraphenalia e) all of the above. You don't crash your friggin' lamborghini and then leave the scene if you've done nothing wrong.

I thought the NFL suspended Vick for 3 years?

And Joy - Jimmer's right - you should totally have fun with it.

No, the NFL hasn't ruled yet.

Paste that into your browser and smoke it...

Huh, I thought I heard that on SportsCenter or some such thing - I wasn't really paying attention...I was folding laundry and the TV was just background noise.

And I wouldn't have to paste it if you'd just use tags!

I don't know how to tag for links.

Just Bold and Italics.

According to a Newsweek poll, 200 prostitutes were surveyed prior to the last Demcrat/Republican Connvention in regards to which party was the best "customer". Over 75% replied Republican, remarking that they were also the Kinky-est as well as the worst Tippers (no offense Mrs. Gore). So what does that Tell You?
